And two simple words to make it sell
A Framework Is All You Ever Need
World Snooker is on at the moment, and I had a clear out of some old rackets this week. However, these aren’t either of the frameworks I am referring to in the title of my weekly musing.
A framework makes your product or service easy to understand, and therefore easier to sell.
Whether you are a therapist delivering a change of thinking for your patient, a service delivering a specific result for your client or even a product that does something… all of them… every single sale that’s ever happened in the history of sales… involves a framework.
What is it then and how do you get yours? Well, let me tell you a short story.
At the Entrepreneurs Circle weekly meeting this week, one of the members asked how he could transition his sales process to an all-in-one system elsewhere (he manufactures poetry wheels).
I told him he needed to map out the customer journey all the way from them not knowing about him, becoming aware of his product, right the way through to the end of the process (whereby they may well recommend his product to others), and all of the follow-up required therein. This customer journey will give him all of the steps in his framework from which to decide on the right sales portal solution.
I also have a client who delivers incredible changes in thinking for her clients and I asked her to map out her framework and tell me what makes it different.
Now, you don’t need some earth-shattering new invention to make this framework sellable. No. In fact, you simply need two simple words to make it fly.
“Kinda like…”
Let me explain.
You see, your client doesn’t need to know what all of the bells and whistles do that make your product amazing. No. They simply need to believe it will work for them. That’s it. Sale done.
And you do this by being able to describe it simply enough that they’ll understand that it will give them the result. They don't need to know the how. Just believe it will.
Instead of overwhelming them with jargon and facts, you only ever need to say: “Kinda like…” to get them to see it.*
Examples:
Can you describe your framework simply? What’s it kinda like…? Let us know.
In the meantime, have a great week, learn heaps, love loads and then pass it on.
*Thanks to Russell Brunson for this one.
